ALL BAND DIPOLE Mk2 - ALTERNATE CONFIGURATIONS

Alternate antenna configuration the main HF All Band Doublet antenna

With a view to get better performance particularly on lower frequency bands alternate antenna configuration such as a type of Marconi ‘T’ antenna can be achieved by simple bonding the two ladder line legs together in the shack and connecting direct to the T-Match antenna tuner, also a type of ‘L’ antenna arrangement can be achieved by connecting to one side of the ladder line in the shack directly to the T-Match antenna tuner.

The Marconi ‘T’ antenna and ‘L’ antenna arrangements are compared with the existing tuned doublet configuration by charting WSPR pings over periods of time and other on air comparisons.

Marconi ‘T’ type antenna configuration.

Marconi ‘L’ type antenna configuration.
